Author’s Note

This started out as a joke between my fiancée and me, a challenge that did not end well for me. He’s a bit of a slow typer and I type like a demon on crack. He’d made a comment that he could do a 10,000 word story just as well as I could and probably faster and thus began our race to complete a short story. Obviously I lost that race. What normally should have taken me around 8 hours has ended up taking several months because of my work schedule. He obviously won and I had to submit to an Indian meal, not my first choice of meals most nights. I believe he wrote a brilliant little story and think you might enjoy it more, perhaps even more than my own.
